As of 14th of July 2026, our business name is changing from "The Cable Guy Australia" to "Core Connect Aust".

We started in 2016 as a side project on eBay — a simple idea that Australians deserved quality cables and accessories without paying inflated retail prices or waiting weeks for something to ship from overseas.

Nearly a decade later, that idea hasn't changed. We've just gotten better at delivering on it.

The Cable Guy Australia Pty Ltd Trading As Core Connect Aust is a Melbourne-based retailer specialising in USB cables, chargers, and tech accessories.

Everything we sell is stocked locally — no dropshipping, no middlemen, no mystery wait times. When you order before 10am, it goes out the same day via Australia Post with insurance included. That's a promise we make to every customer, every order.

We source directly from manufacturers, which means you get genuinely good products at prices that actually make sense. The brands we carry — including UGREEN, Baseus, Vention, and Anker — are trusted names used by people who actually care about what they plug into their devices. We're not here to sell you the cheapest thing on the shelf. We're here to sell you the right thing at a fair price.

When something goes wrong — and occasionally it does — you're dealing with a real business. A Melbourne business. One that answers the phone between 9am and 5pm and actually sorts it out.

Every product we sell comes with a warranty of 180 days, because we stand behind what we sell.

We also care about how we pack and send your order. We use sustainable parcel labels and bags — not because it's a marketing talking point, but because it's the right thing to do and we've got the next decade to think about too.
If you're a home user who's been burned by a dodgy cable one too many times, we get it. If you're a business or school looking for a reliable local supplier for bulk orders, we can help with that too.

Whatever you need, we'll give you a straight answer, a fair price, and a cable that actually does the job.
