A fitbit inspire 2 charger and a fitbit ace 3 charger are the same part, and almost nobody says so out loud. One lead covers both trackers, which is useful if there is an Inspire 2 on one wrist in the house and an Ace 3 on another.
The Ace 3 is the children’s tracker of this generation, and it was built on the Inspire 2 body.
⭐ Same case back, same two gold contacts, same charging head. So a fitbit ace 3 charger is not a separate thing you have to hunt for — it is this, and if the family already owns a spare for the adult tracker, it already owns a spare for the child’s.
⚠️ Worth knowing the other way round too. Plenty of households buy a fitbit ace 3 charger and never realise it will rescue the Inspire 2 in the kitchen drawer.
It snaps in. There is no magnet on this generation.
⭐ Line the two pins up with the gold contacts on the back and press until you feel the click. That click is the connection. ⚠️ A fitbit inspire 2 charger that does not grip when you simply rest the tracker on it has not failed — it is waiting to be pressed together, and this is the commonest reason a working lead gets sent back.
To release the fitbit inspire 2 charger, slide a thumbnail into a corner and press down gently.
The Inspire 3 snaps in as well, and it takes a different head.
⛔ A fitbit inspire 2 charger will not charge an Inspire 3, and the failure is silent — the tracker sits on the head looking correct and takes nothing. The model is printed on the back. Read it before you order.
Clean the two gold pads on the back of the tracker first. Skin oil, sunscreen and — on a child’s Ace 3 — sandpit grit collect there, and that is the usual cause before any cable is at fault. A dry cloth, or a cotton bud with a little isopropyl alcohol.
⭐ Then try a different USB port, because some powered hubs and car sockets do not hold a steady 5V and a tracker draws too little to force the issue. ⚠️ Only after that is it worth suspecting the fitbit inspire 2 charging cable itself — and the place it goes is where the lead meets the head.
Charge only. Both trackers sync over Bluetooth, so nothing travels down this lead but power. It plugs into any USB-A port — a wall charger, a laptop, a power bank or a car socket.
⭐ Charging speed is set by the tracker, not by the lead. A full charge from empty takes roughly one to two hours, and no fitbit inspire 2 charger changes that, because the tracker is the part deciding.
That a fitbit inspire 2 charger fits the Inspire 3. It does not, even though both snap in.
That it fits the first Inspire, the Inspire HR or the Ace 2. Those three are magnetic and take a different head again.
That a fitbit ace 3 charger from us is faster. The tracker governs the rate on both.

Two trackers, one part.
⭐⭐ The Ace 3 is the one people do not expect. It is sold as a kids’ product and listed separately everywhere, so its owners rarely learn that the adult lead is the same lead. If there is one of each in the house, one spare covers both.
⚠️ If you have an Inspire 3, an Inspire, an Inspire HR or an Ace 2, this is not your lead — the Inspire 3 takes its own snap-in head and the older three are magnetic. We stock both separately. Check the model printed on the back of the tracker and we will point you at the right one.
And it will not charge faster than the tracker allows. Charging rate is set by the tracker, not by the lead.
