One cable covers three trackers here, and the newest of them is the one almost nobody lists. A fitbit charge 6 charger, a Charge 5 charger and a Luxe charger are the same part — Fitbit kept the port identical across all three.
That is unusual in the Fitbit range, where nearly every generation changes the connector.
⭐ Same rear port, same two contacts, same magnetic hold. So if there is a Charge 5 and a Charge 6 in the house, one fitbit charge 5 charger covers both — and if you upgraded from a Luxe, the lead you already own still works.
⚠️ Most listings stop at the Charge 5 and never mention a fitbit charge 6 charger at all. The Charge 6 arrived later and a great many replacement cables were written before it existed, which is why owners end up assuming they need something different. They do not.
It is magnetic. There is no clip and nothing to squeeze.
⭐ Hold the head near the port on the back of the tracker and let it take itself. The magnet does the aligning; you will feel it settle, and the screen shows the charge percentage within a second or two. The band stays on — nothing needs removing.
⚠️ If it will not hold, the contacts are the usual reason. Two small gold pads on the back of the tracker collect skin oil, sunscreen and soap, and a magnetic connection has no clamping pressure to push through that film.
The Charge 2, Charge 3 and Charge 4 clip on. This one does not.
⛔ A fitbit charge 5 charger will not engage a Charge 4, and the older clip will not engage a Charge 5, a Charge 6 or a Luxe either — there is nothing for it to grip. The two systems look alike on a screen and behave completely differently in the hand.
⭐ The quick test on your old lead: if it clipped, you have the earlier generation. If it simply stuck, you are in the right place.
⭐ Wipe the two gold pads on the back of the tracker. A dry cloth, or a cotton bud with a little isopropyl alcohol. This is the fix more often than anything else on the magnetic generation.
⭐ Then move to a different USB port. These trackers draw very little, and some powered hubs and car sockets do not hold a steady 5V — which fails quietly rather than obviously.
⚠️ Then look at the lead where it meets the head. That is the flex point, and a fitbit charge 6 charger that only works at one particular angle has already failed there.
Charge only. All three trackers sync over Bluetooth, so nothing travels down this lead but power. It plugs into any USB-A port — a wall charger, a laptop, a power bank or a car socket.
⭐ Charging speed is set by the tracker, not by the lead. A full charge takes roughly two hours, and a fitbit luxe charger, a Charge 5 lead and a fitbit charge 6 charger all reach it at the same rate, because the tracker is the part deciding.
That a fitbit luxe charger fits the clip generation. The Charge 2, Charge 3 and Charge 4 need the other lead entirely.
That a fitbit charge 5 charger from us charges faster. The tracker governs the rate.
That the magnet is strong. It is a light hold by design — enough to seat the contacts, not enough to carry the tracker around by the cable.

Three trackers, one magnetic lead.
⭐⭐ Fitbit kept the charging port identical across all three, which is unusual in this range — nearly every other generation changed it. One spare covers the lot.
⚠️ The Charge 6 is the one to check for on any listing. It arrived after most replacement cables were written, so owners often assume they need a different part. They do not.
⚠️ If you have a Charge 2, Charge 3 or Charge 4, this is not your lead — those clip on and there is nothing here for a clip to grip. We stock that one separately. The quick test is your old cable: if it clipped, you need the other one.
And it will not charge faster than the tracker allows. Charging rate is set by the tracker, not by the lead.
